I recently came across a blog that questioned if a the few bucks it costs to have a gold membership was too much to pay in order to have the ability to effectively communicate and actually meet. I found that there are a lot of profiles that complain about others not really wanting to meet or questioning if anyone is real on here. I answered the question in a way that should shed one light on the problem....or piss a few people off. (Note. If it pisses you off, you may want to take a hard look in the mirror. Because that little burning sensation in the pit of your ego is your subconscious telling you to pay attention and make an adjustment within.)

Unfortunately, I didn't look at the date until after I responded and realized those guys haven't been on here since 2015. I'm reposting my response here because, hopefully everyone can get something out of it.

Here ya go.....
I hear you. As a single guy who does pay, I find that the stigma of a single guy in the community is hard to overcome. Grammatically correct messages with proper spelling and punctuation, along with verbiage that indicates sincerity from a gold member has an average no response rate of appx 97%. It makes those of us who are willing and able to meet decide to not pay anymore. In short, from my personal perspective, the problem is not always on the single guys or the couples who decide to no longer pay for gold. The problem is the folks who are "too good" to respond when someone messages them.

If one person takes the time to write and send a message, at least have the common human decency to reply. Even if it is a polite rejection. The people I see complaining are usually the cause of their own situation. Be apart of the solution. Not the problem.

Just my opinion/observation--

Feel free to comment but beware, if you throw stones my way I will not hesitate to throw them back. If we treat each other the way we want to be treated, it would be a better world.
