Why is Common Sense not so common anymore???

 Good judgement comes from experience. Experience comes from bad judgement.

Part of it is that teenagers do not think that parents know anything. Part of it comes from a lack of time spent with an older person performing tasks. I often will repair something that I have not attempted previously as I was exposed to working on machinery as a boy on the farm, helping Dad maintain farm machinery. The result is that I developed spatial recognition and the confidence to tackle most jobs. I have over the years also found some limits as to what I want to tackle.
