Tonight is the night

Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day
you fritter and waste the hours in an offhand way
Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town
Waiting for someone or something to show you the way...

Most days I feel this grind. I sit at work M-F from 9:30 to 6:00 (alone M-Th) bored out of my mind. Between the occasional Customer, , or duty to perform I just still at the desk doing really nothing. I do have YouTube jamming, either a playlist I put together, or I'll type in song and just let it surprise me from there.

So I sit here bored reading blogs, try to chat on IM (but its hit or miss on working properly), send out messages (which also are glitchy at times). Of course I have found most of the women on during the day are looking for other woman or men to join them and their boyfriend/husband which I'm not interested in. So the days can drag on and on. Tick...tick...tick...oh its only noon (only hours left).

Today however seems to be taking extra long. Why is this because tonight is the night the NFL comes back. Not only is football back (the second greatest sport behind hockey) but Da Bears (my favorite team) are playing. Which also means only game in town, on tv (which being a displaced fan is always exciting). There is also the fact that they are only in Canton, basically an hour away. I usually go to the preseason games when they play the Browns (which they are not this year ). I also wanted to and had tried to plan to go to this . Alas I did not get tickets, and since pay day is tomorrow I don't have the discretionary income to go after work.

Yes it is only preseason. Yes the games do not count. Yes the starters probably wont play more than a quarter. Football is however back, Da Bears will be on, and I will be in proper game attire cheering my team on!!!

Are you excited for anything tonight?

Does the thought of something you are looking forward to make time stand still for you?

I am always bored here. One of these days I will leave for something different.

Anytime, huge Bears fan (if you did not notice) so I can talk about them forever

I swear football is going to start in May eventually. It seems so earrrrrrrrly to be thinking about it!

(maybe that's why I like college ball better... Go Noles!)

Oh I look forward to the spring leagues starting next year.

I'm not big into college, since it's all rigged for big cheatings schools like Bama and OSU. But go Illini if I was

Yes Pink Floyd's whole discography from 73 to 87 is outstanding in the stories they tell. Dark side of the Moon is one of those that I love but has a real strong memory to it. When I was a 11 to 13 my parents still owned and rented out a house in Cleveland by Edgewater beach. We would drive down 89th to park their and walk down for fireworks every fourth of July. There was a house near the top of the street that would turn their speakers out toward the porch and blast this album. Great times.

I have not seen the flaming lips rendition, but I will look for it now because I'm intrigued...thank you.
