Thanks for your comment. You were the only one who stated opinion on this issue. I am not a liberal. I am an independent.

I have been in a union and they are just a leech upon capitalism. They are no longer needed and exist to collect dues from members without providing much benefit. Why do members need to strike for better conditions? Just quit! Go somewhere else and give that company your talents. They don't pay as much as my company does you tell me. You mean the artificially propped up wages and benefiits in the contract that customers pay for in higher costs. Ask yourself how much less you would pay for your vehicle if you weren't paying $35.00 an hr and benefits for an individual to install a gas door on your new vehicle. Good money if you can get it but lousy when you're paying it.
The question is do you believe laws should be passed to criminalize protesting.

First off I'm not a liberal, I'm a moderate independent. I think it is taking us back a century for politicians to want to make it illegal for workers to strike for better conditions which is what this bill is really about. Not that I'm all in favor of unions, never been a member of one, and think there are valid concerns about how unions operate. The solution is not to outlaw them which seems to be where some people want to take us.
On the other hand there are a lot of people in this country who aren't making as much as teachers currently are making. Asking those people to care about the plight of teachers is like asking peasants to care more about the comfort of the aristocracy than about their own welfare.
Thanks for your comment
