Discombobulated

Discombobulated I am feeling a little off right now. Not sure why. Last night I couldn’t seem to remember where things were at first but ended up finding them with no problem. Strange feeling. Maybe I am not getting enough sleep, maybe I just need a break. I don’t know. Last night I picked up a guy I have picked up the most in the city,10 times now. He is a manager at a bar in the Castro District. He is always very drunk when I pick him up but always very nice. He likes the fact that I know where he lives and remember things he has told me. I like him. I have given him my business card a few times but he has never called me for a ride yet. I would be there to pick him up and take him home daily, if he wants but he hasn’t yet. It is okay. One night I will go to his bar. Not sure what I would do when I am there since I wouldn’t be able to drink because I would have to drive home. There is a Drag Queen show at his bar on Monday nights. I am excited to go and watch one. I have never been to one. The other day I picked up a young lady from the airport. I asked about her flight and if she was there for work or pleasure. She said neither she was there for rehab. I wasn’t sure what to say, but I said, “I have a billion question and I know I am not suppose to ask them”. She was a very pleasant young lady. We chatted about her having things to do for the weekend, she missed having things to do, also not to do anything to have to go to rehab. I agreed with her but I was secretly thinking it would be nice to have a month or two with little or nothing to do, not that I want to go to rehab but free time to read, think about things and talk to others with the same need and want would be nice! I did tell her I didn’t mean to be so nosey but I enjoy talking to people. She said she didn’t think I was being nosey and was okay telling me things. I wished her luck and hoped she had a great weekend. I sent up a little prayer for her. I am not religious but sending good thoughts and feeling for her out into the universe. Okay, time to get ready for work tonight. I am looking forward to a good change for tonight. Always trying to be positive and look at work with a good and positive way. Also I have been watching this documentary called Going Clear. Have you seen it? It is all about Scientology. I didn’t know much about this group but… Seriously??? I am not talking down to anyone who agrees with it but the speeches seem to have a lot of rhetoric or circles that do not mean really anything. Okay, it was interesting but not drinking the kool aide. Thank you again for reading and I love you!  Thank you very much for reading my blog!  I love you very much!  |

 One time I picked up a bartender that I really liked.I wanted to give her my number for "professional reasons". I didn't.  Now I'll never know how that would have worked out.  lol- (Actually probably for the best, but still.  )I'll never know.  ... Don't drink the koolaid!

I used to give out business cards on a regular basis. (I even still have a few customers that carry around a card I gave them five years ago!) But overall they didn't work that well for me, and may have even hindered my earnings because I mostly got called back by the neediest people. Nowadays I will write my number on a company card instead of printing my own. More often I will just remind people that (if I called them) my phone number is already in their phone! Or some people will just ask for my number and then save it in their phone. With the rise of technology, business cards are going the way of cassette tapes.
