Great hair day!

Great hair day!

I had a great "hair day" and fun on camera
Warning- only my girlfriends probably care about this post.

I finally think I found out the right way to do my hair. After shampooing and conditioning, I towel it dry as best as I can, and then blow dry it to the point where it's 75% dry.

I then apply a root lift product as I completely blow dry both the right and left sides, avoiding any product on the top of my head. I then style it the way I like it and only then apply root lift to the final part line. A quick blow dry and it suits me.

I use a big round brush to straighten the hair while blow drying. Works wonders!

Most girls learn this stuff from their mothers or their friends. Many of us are forced by circumstance to just figure it out. Any of my GG readers might think this stuff is obvious but it isn't. It takes trial and error, and in my case, a good stylist who has hooked me up with the right products.

Same thing with makeup. My goal isn't to look like a caricature of a woman. I give props to the drag queen community for their flamboyant interpretation of the feminine look, but what I really want is to have strangers view me as a woman and then move on.

Today I had a perfect day. Everyone I encountered out in the world just took at face value that I was a woman. Nothing special, but also nothing unusual. I can't wait until that translates into the confidence to actually go out and meet people on this site. It's one thing to not have strangers notice your flaws, but entirely different with a possibly romantic encounter.

I've had several folks want to meet me in person and the day is coming soon when I'll say yes. For the GG's on this site, I would think you're very cautious about the first real world encounter. There is real danger involved. My friends in the trans community also know the extra level of danger given that there are a lot of people who would hurt us.

It's interesting that there aren't that many folks out there who would ever admit to being interested in trans people and yet the transgender porn industry thrives and I get lots and lots of requests to meet people.

Still, life can't be defined by fear. I hope I can have a few meaningful encounters on this site, and someday find a real partner that shares my values and also values me as who I am, not the words on my birth certificate.

These times, they are changing.

Love to all,

Jamie

From a lifelong "wash and go" girl (well... that's been my style for 15+ years at any rate) I did enjoy reading this.

Best wishes

My grown son went out tonight (he lives with me while he's attending college). He said he had to go "clean up" before going out. 5 minutes later he was ready to head out the door. I made the comment "wow, I could never shower and get ready to go out in anything less that an hour". His response was something along the lines of that was the difference between men and women.

Someone could have handed me $1000 and it would have paled in comparison to how good I felt by him making that distinction between the two of us. Not every trans person loses contact with his family. Mine accepts me an that's awesome. Can't say they all understand me, but they haven't alienated me.

I love getting comments to my post. Thanks jihghz71inch and demonicsexkitten!

After all, life is truly more fun when you're open minded. Take care,

Jamie
