Can't Fix Stupid

We are pretty easygoing and tolerant people about most anything, except stupid. Want a reaction? Say or do something stupid and you can pretty much be assured you will get one.

Take today for example. I signed on and on the IM the incoming IM was flashing. The IM said 'Hi - We don't smoke - looking for fun' and it was from a single guy. So I responded, got no response. Saw the screen name was still on, sent an IM. Was rudely asked - 'what do you want'. When I said I was responding to an IM from that name, I was told he never sent an IM.

So I told him what it said, and he said "I sent that an hour ago'. I explained I signed on, there it was so I responded. Then he said "I don't have time for 20 questions' when I asked how he was and how long they had been in the lifestyle.

I sent an IM that said 'Well, since you sent the IM, we figured you wanted to get to know a little about us and us you. I was wrong. Good Luck.' and then left the chat.

He responded that we have no pics on our profile (we have 2) and we were older than them - which was apparent. At that point - blocked!

What I don't get is why send the IM in the first place? Our ages are on the profile, along with a couple of pics (faces blocked due to professions). Then, why deny you sent it to begin with?

Also got an IM today from a married<b> man wanting </font></b>to meet up with us without his wife. Again, we are pretty clear that we will not do that. Married means a partner. Period. Avoids any problems that way. He accused us of having a double standard, and when he was politely informed that the same holds for women - married means partner - he left the chat.

So, here it is. Both of these individuals came across as idiots. Which leads to one of my favorite says: Can't Fix Stupid.
