Drive-thru Dilemas

A little rant needed this AM.

One of my many drive-thru dilemas:

I like to drink coffee, actually I drink quite a bit of it and have become very accustomed to a certain famous coffee shop we have here. They have managed to perfect my aquired taste no matter the size of the cup. Gotta love modern technology. Any size gives the proportional amount of your order.

But like any fast food establishment, there are your part timers, job floaters, and ah! The almighty ... Yes we all need to earn a dollar and I will never knock anyone for what they do for a living, as long as you can do the job properly.

Now for my specific situation, I've order the same thing for many years now, some servers even know what I want and have it ready before I even order (I luv you ladies, almost like family)

But since it's the weekend, my ladies usually aren't working and I'm faced with this:

Coffe shop -Good Morning welcome to *** ******
Me -G.M. could I have a medium coffe with a half cream and 2 sugar please.
CS -Sure no problem sir that's a medium coffe with a half cream and 2 sugars, Will that be all sir ?
Me - Yes, thank you
CS -Thank you sir, (my order shows corectly on the screen) that will be a $1.60
Me -Thanks

Now I get to the window, hand my toonie the server, He hands me my coffee and I do my standard check of color and low and behold it's not right. Hey no problem, I'm here, it happens ,change it up, make me the right one and it's all good. No worries. Well, well, well not this , this how it follows.

Me - I think you made a mistake and put two cream and half sugar.

He looks up at the screen.

CS - No, I didn't the screen says 1/2 cream 2 sugar.
Me - Did you make it ?
CS - Yes -as he looks at the screen again- I put a 1/2 cream and two sugar.
Me - well this looks to have alot of cream in it. I can tell just by the color.

So I taste it and yes it is reversed. It's not what I wanted. I ask him to make me another. His respone was:

CS - No sir, I won't make you another, that's what you ordered.
Me - I know that's what I ordered, but not what I got.
CS - Well I'm sorry sir, I won't make you another just because you want new one, it's made correctly.

Now my blood is starting boil but i'm still calm, not only are you fucking with my first coffee of the day, it's 6am and only worth $1.60, Fuck me. So the superviser comes over, one of my ladies. Perfect !!

Supervisor - Hey M****, how r u what's up!
Me - I think this guy made a mistake, and i've asked him to make me new one, and he says he won't because he made it right according to the screen.

She dosen't even look at the screen, opens up the coffee and says:

Super - Your right M****, he reversed it on you, sorry i'll make a new one.
Me - Thanks, Mistakes happen, no worries

Super speaking to the guy - When this customer says you made his coffee wrong, it's because you did, He was polite, he's a regular, so just give him the damn coffee !!
Did I mention I love that Lady !

What a way to start the day, at least it was corrected and enjoyed while sitting on my deck and laughing about it! Now hopefully when I order my 3pc combo<b> dark meat </font></b>only, I'll get the macaroni salad I ordered instead of the fucken coleslaw.

Cheers to all in the fast-food industry, It is a bitch of a job at times, but you choose to be there, just please pay a little more attention to detail. And remember this :
