King Lear

My fave Shakespeare play is King Lear, which details the foolish dad and the ungrateful versus the one good . Part of the tragedy is that Lear treats the evil selfish better than the good .

So yesterday I am consulted by a foolish father with two boys, a good one and a bad one. The bad one has stolen the family jewels, and sold them cheaply, while the good one is working and not doing anything bad. The foolish dad is still trying to help the bad .

If it was me, I would kick the 22 year old out and let him make his own way in the world. He already stole his share of the inheiritable assets, so he would be cut out of anything more. Lets talk in a few years and see if you deserve any future interaction...

I think the bad kid belongs in prison for a while so I am not likely to be hired by the foolish father to pursue the matter... which is fine with me...
