weeks 14 & 15

Its been a busy two weeks. I've stood on the great wall (at a temp of 5 degrees Celsius) and I've basked at one of the top 5 beaches in the world. Its still amazing to me that I've gotten this chance.

As I look back over the last 16 weeks and really think about what I've gotten to see, its truly been amazing! had you asked me a year ago if I ever thought I'd be where I am right now, I couldn't even of imagined it.

When I stood on the great wall, I was truly in awe. and to think of how long it took to build. The stairs are very uneven.and one minute they are 3 inches high the next one will be a foot high. surprised I didn't bit the dirt there at some point. lol I've taken my fair share of falls on the uneven sidewalks..none worse than the first one though lol
the buildings and temples in Beijing are incredible, I've got some great pics when I get home!
We went to the Forbidden city..and guess what..there is a starbucks there! right in the MIDDLE of it..they are protesting to have it removed. And in all honesty I really hope they do, it can be on the outskirts, but it really disfigures the inside of the city.
the people weren't as rude as they are in Hong Kong thankfully!

The next trip was to the gorgeous Island of Boracay. I'll be going back there before I leave if it kills me! lol Its the most amazing crystal green and blue water I've ever seen. We went snorkeling and even got to feed the fish crackers, some of the most amazing colors! The sand is a gorgeous white and cool to the touch even in the heat of the day! We stayed at Fridays, the best resort there in my opinion and we were TOTALLY pampered and spoiled for 3 days. spent at least half of that time in the water, the rest on the beach. Some of the best food I've had in the Philippines as well.

The trip to Boracay was the farewell trip for my co worker and "roomie". She left for the states yesterday, having spent her 6 months here. She had been there twice before when her family was here and had to make it her "farewell" trip. I can understand why and am thinking of making it mine as well. If you EVER get the chance to go to a tropical beach, you wont be disappointed with Boracay and "Fridays" the place we stayed. (maybe I should move there and be a travel agent for them lol)
I've added a pic of the beach to this as well and have many more for you too see when I Get home.

The next 8 weeks will go very fast. I have 4 other co workers coming into town for about 3 weeks of that 8, and my mom is coming for a visit at the end of Next week over the easter holiday. Cant wait to see her! We've got a lot of local sight seeing to do, so I'll have even MORE pictures soon lol Its going to take me 8 photo albums to hold all these LOL The visits are timed out so that I get about a week or a week and a half between visitors, so it will make the time zoom by. I'll be home before I know it now.

Hopefully another trip to Puerto Galera before I come home and for sure a trip to Boracay. There is an extremely good possibility that I'll be coming back here again in 2 o 3 months. So I still have many other places I want to see

Its off to bed for me now, been at work all night!
Miss you all and see you very soon
