Life's little surprises

I am not surprised that I am who I am... I was raised to always be true to myself and never settle for anything else.... West Virginia now is a state that allows<b> gay and lesbian </font></b>couples to marry and next weekend after 35yrs together my mom and her partner are going to be married.... They went today and got their license and did the whole thing at the courthouse, but they are having a celebration at our church next weekend.. My brothers which are not really my blood they are Penelope's sons but we were raised together and so I see them as my brothers... They are coming from Japan and Germany they are Marines and they have always said that our moms are the best moms..

They are coming to join the celebration of our mom's I have been busy trying to get everything put together and try and not get overwhelmed with everything and the moms are going to be surprised by the fact that the whole family is going to be there to join in their joy...

I have the flowers done, cake will be done Friday, family and friends coming and my brothers will be here to walk them down to each other.... I friend will be singing their song and pictures will line the reception hall of their life together so far... They have had rings for years and did a commitment celebration ten years ago but it is going to be legal forever now... So us all went together and got them new rings.... They have two diamonds each and three other stones that are our birthstones around them.. We have had the rings for a year and said that we were giving them to them at Christmas but we decided to do it now since they are truly married to each other and we have joined our family for real...
But we also had to include the grandchildren between the two of them they have one grandson eight granddaughters and one great grandson so we had charm bracelets made for them with a stone or charm for each or memory they have of each ...

Terri asked if I saw myself doing the whole married thing again and I told her I was not sure what I wanted to do but maybe someday I might do the whole wedding thing again... I am normally behind the camera but I am going to be in front of it next weekend and I might just post some new pics afterwards...
