I'm Late!!!

I'm Late!!!

The little diddy from Alice in Wonderland is running through my head this morning...I'm late, I'm late, for a very important date...I got up way late this morning...now, I'm trying to get awake enough to pick out something to wear before jumping in the shower...I still have to pack my walking group gear bag and get out the door by 8:00 a.m.!!!!

I'm not looking forward to going to work today, as today is my day to back up the phones...I've got quite a bit of work to do at my desk, but since I'm still trying to "fit in" I'll do my duty. My main attorney is out of the office again today, but back tomorrow, Friday...I'm just finding it VERY difficult to get motivated to get around on any given work week morning!!!

I did come across an add for a Records Coordinator at a larger firm...in fact, this particular firm is in the same building as the last firm, on the 5th and 6th floors...right above my previous firm!! However, they are moving come the first of the year to new offices in another building not too far away. A gal that worked at my previous firm but left after realizing that it wasn't for her, is in my parking garage from time to time. The other day when we were there without any of my new co-workers, she told me to send my resume over to her firm...I laughed as I've got a life-sized, mental picture of this firm given me even a moment's consideration...the husband of one of the female attorneys in the group I worked with works at this firm...not that that would be held against me...anyway, there was a position open in the newspaper job<b> classifieds </font></b>so I whipped up a cover letter, attached my resume and e-mailed, as well as mailed it all into this position. I doubt seriously I'll hear from them...but the job just struck me...reminded me of the time I ran for Court Clerk of the county I was living in...my platform was computerizing the Court Clerk's office and utilizing the newest and best techniques for record storage...this position reminded me that I've got a lot to offer the right firm...not to mention the right, motivating position!! Like all the other positions, no sense in getting my hopes up but you don't know unless you try!!!
